Toxicity Test
The SICTOX algorithm relies on toxicity testing to detect episodes early.
El equipo realiza el test en 2 etapas:
- pumping mixed liquor to the respirometric chamber, aeration until saturation ("endogenesis"), addition of ammonium chloride and calculation of the nitrification rate Rsmax[Sludge+Substrate],
- pumping of mixed liquor to the respirometric chamber, pumping of influent sample, aeration until saturation ("endogenesis"), addition of ammonium chloride and calculation of the nitrification rate Rsmax[Sludge+Substrate+Sample],
Nitrification Test
The SICTOX algorithm relies on the nitrification test as confirmation of the toxicity input.
Control Loop
Based on the results of the nitrification and toxicity tests, a mixed control loop is established that guarantees the detection of toxicity and can act early (bypass) before it enters the biological.
